Aaah the sea

There is one thing in the universe that has the ultimate power of calm for me. Water. A glass of water, a shower, a bath tub, a hot tub, a swimming pool, the ocean… it doesn’t matter in what form it comes, even rain and snow. Water is a giver of life.

The waves of the ocean are definitely the best. When I see a calm sea I can not help but feel calm as well. It’s like a universal energy I cannot help but feel and follow. I tend to forget this magic as I have not had the luxury of living within walking distance of a nice beach for quite a while. Here I do not mean the light brown, sandy and sunny beaches. I mean the black, rocky beaches full of seaweed and what ever weird things the sea brings your way (but of course the brown ones work too…but we don’t have them here).

I can spend hours sitting on a cold rock, just staring at the big blue, listening to it and breathing in time with the waves. First I feel the calm in my stomach, then my face, my shoulders, my mind and last but not least my fingers and toes.

The sea is one of the few places where everything makes sense.

I think I must have been a fish in a former life.
